This website is a personal view of food and not a scientific remedy for health and fitness through food. We are not saying any foodstuff, preference or regime is right or wrong, we're not qualified to comment. We are just giving a personal, and hopefully informed view on balancing your diet here.

Having had a number of years of eating to excess, as an adult male of Height 6' 2" / 1.88m and reaching a weight of over 22st / 312lb / 140kg with a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 40.2. When according to many sources the most a male of that height should be is around 16st 8lb / 232lb / 105kg - on the 10th January 2009 I was probably around 5st 8lb / 80lb / 35kg over my maximum recommended weight and well in excess of my new BMI target of around 26.0.

Food is not necessarily just fuel to get our physical body through the day, it can give a general feeling of wellbeing and even pleasure. I don't want my life to revolve around food but I do want to eat foods I actually like.

I decided to include Herbalife products in my food repertoire as they have had a record of success founded on a firm scientific base. I have tasted the Herbalife, Healthy Meal Replacement, Nutritional Shake Mix, Formula 1 and like the texture and taste. The shake drink is not of course my be all and end all, if I'm removing a regular meal or even two from my diet then I'm going to include the other core nutritional ingredient - Formula 2; the Herbalife Multivitamin Complex that will provide me with 22 essential vitamins and minerals, including antioxidants and herbs, ensuring I don't go short of anything my body actually needs.
